HK Express to launch new service to Busan

13 May 2014 by Clement Huang

Low-cost carrier HK Express will expand its services to South Korea in August, with Busan added to its network. This will complement the airline’s existing twice-daily service to Seoul.

Busan is the second largest city in South Korea after Seoul, and it is well known for its many temples, museums and cultural attractions. It also boasts one of the busiest seaports in the world, with transportation and shipping being a major part of its economy. More recently, Busan has also become known for its role as a thriving convention city.

A key advantage of the HK Express’ Busan service is that the carrier will be the only airline operating a day-time flight to the city from Hong Kong. Other carriers such as Korean Air, Air Busan and Cathay Pacific only offer red-eye flights. HK Express will deploy an A320 narrow-body aircraft for the service, with 174 seats in an all-economy configuration.

To mark the launch of the new route, HK Express is offering promotional fares to the city for as little as HK$390 one-way. To enjoy this special deal, travellers need to make the booking before May 14, for travel between August 7 and October 25. Prices listed do not include taxes and surcharges.
