Dorsett Hospitality International will open a new property in Kuala Lumpur, Silka Cheras, towards the end of April.
Located in Cheras, a suburb southeast of the city with good transport links, the hotel is part of Dorsett’s Silka brand, which offers three-star budget properties under the tagline “comfortable, hassle-free and convenient”.
The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur city centre and 45 minutes by car from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and is located adjacent to new shopping mall Cheras Sentral.
Superior room
The hotel features 319 guestrooms in four different categories: Superior (26 sqm); Silka room (32 sqm); Studio (38 sqm) and the open-concept design, Silka Suite (42 sqm). All rooms include free wifi, 32-inch LED TV, a workstation, plus in-room tea/coffee making facilities.
There is a single all-day dining restaurant plus a function facility, the Cheras Room, which accommodates up to 220, and can be divided into two smaller meeting spaces.
Silka Cheras will offer an opening rate of RM168 (US$51) nett per night for a superior room, inclusive of breakfast for two and complimentary wifi.
