Blumenthal reveals T2 restaurant details

10 Mar 2014 by GrahamSmith
Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal has unveiled details about his restaurant at Heathrow's new Terminal 2: The Queen's Terminal. The Perfectionists' Cafe will cater to travellers who want "exceptional" food served quickly. Blumenthal said: "The demands of an airport outlet are quite different from our other restaurants. Some guests will have very little time to spend with us and others, in transit or with longer check-ins, will have time to linger. "The restaurant will of course cater to both, but we want to deliver food that is fun and familiar — food that is stimulating to the palate and at the same time easy to enjoy." The cafe's design will "hark back to the heyday of 1960s passenger flights when air travel was deemed glamorous and travellers dressed in their best to fly". Last month, London Heathrow has revealed the full line-up of shops, restaurants and bars that will be in its new Terminal 2 when it opens on June 4 (see news, February 26). heathrowairport.com Graham Smith
