Bangkok Airways trials new in-flight entertainment system

6 Mar 2014 by Clement Huang

Bangkok Airways has started offering the iPad mini to provide in-flight entertainment for its business class (Blue Ribbon) passengers.

The Thai regional carrier is currently running a trial with the Apple devices, and is distributing them to business class travellers on select flights between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)-Maldives, Samui-Hong Kong and Samui-Singapore.

The iPad mini is available free of charge, and comes equipped with a range of preloaded movie content including the latest Hollywood releases, TV shows and music along with interactive video games.

“Delivering an outstanding passenger experience is at the heart of our ethos at Bangkok Airways. We are already famous for our on-board boutique service, but we wanted to go an extra mile to ensure that our business class travellers’ flying experience is more pleasurable and enjoyable,” said Bangkok Airways’ president, Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth.
