Jet Airways launches new mobile app for iOS

18 Feb 2014 by Clement Huang

India’s Jet Airways has launched its new mobile application on Apple’s iOS platform. The app is compatible with all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices and allow the airline’s guests to book tickets, check flight status and manage their Jet Privilege account – all via a single platform.

While the app will work on all iOS devices, they would need to have either the iOS6 or above operating system installed. In addition, the app has been specially optimised for the iPhone 5, which sports a four-inch display, an increase from the smaller 3.5-inch display seen in the earlier generations of the iPhone.

The Jet Airways mobile app offers a highly secure payment process that allows credit card transactions to be charged directly from the app. In addition, flight itineraries can be saved and transferred to Apple’s own Passbook app. This would allow passengers to access their boarding passes directly without having to launch the Jet Airways app.

Other features include real time flight status check, registration for real time flight notifications, and the option to receive special offers and news updates.

The mobile app is now available for download through the Apple App Store.
