Finnair will launch a seasonal service between Helsinki and Miami in December.
The carrier will deploy an Airbus A340 in a two-class business and economy configuration on the route, which will operate between December 16 and March 21.
Until January 2, the service will run twice weekly.
Outbound flight AY007 will leave Helsinki on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 0955 and arrive in Miami at 1405 local time.
Return service AY008 will depart Miami at 1600 and land in Helsinki at 0850 the next day.
From January 3, the service will operate three-times weekly, with an additional frequency on Saturdays.
The route will be included in the joint business on transatlantic traffic with Finnair's Oneworld alliance partners American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia.
Finnair CEO Pekka Vauramo said: "Services to Miami with codeshare partners have always been popular, and the time is now right to offer a direct non-stop route in the winter season in addition to these services."
Earlier this month, Finnair announced that it will up its Helsinki to London Heathrow service from four to five flights daily in March (see news, February 9).
