Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national carrier of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, is set to operate two weekly flights between the capital of Dhaka and Frankfurt.
Starting March 31, the airline will fly the new route with a Boeing 777-300. It is unknown if the aircraft will be the brand new B777 that Biman Bangladesh Airlines is expected to take delivery of towards the end of March, or if it will be one of the three existing aircraft that the carrier currently operates.
The B777-300 will feature a two-class layout with 35 seats in business arranged 2-3-2, and 384 seats in a 3-3-3 economy setting. The service departs both destinations every Monday and Friday, with a brief layover at Rome-Fiumicino Airport.
Flight BG55 departs Dhaka at 1000, and arrives in Frankfurt at 1840. The return leg, BG56, leaves the German city at 2010, before landing back in Dhaka at 1300 the next day. There is a five hour time difference between both cities.
