Qantas launches restaurant booking platform

6 Feb 2014 by Clement Huang

Qantas has launched a new online restaurant booking platform that allows frequent flyers to earn Qantas Points when dining at more than 2,000 restaurants across Australia.

Branded as “Qantas Restaurants”, the Australian carrier has partnered with the country’s largest restaurant marketing and booking network, www.dimmi.com.au, to develop the platform.

Frequent flyer members can now log on to www.qantas.com/restaurants to make a booking at a wide range of dining establishments.

Each successful booking will immediately earn Qantas frequent flyer members 100 points. All reservations are made live, and customers will receive confirmation instantly. There is no booking fee, and the online service is available 24 hours a day.

Qantas loyalty CEO, Lesley Grant, said: “Our research has shown us that the majority of our members have great enthusiasm for dining on a regular basis and do so both personally and professionally. Previously, we had a modest earn opportunity with a select number of restaurants but the launch of the new Qantas Restaurants provides a more comprehensive list of restaurants to dine and earn points at.”
