Innside by Melia opens third Dusseldorf hotel

16 Sep 2013 by GrahamSmith

Innside by Melia today opened its third property in Dusseldorf.

Innside Dusseldorf Hafen is located within the 18-storey Colorium, so called because its exterior consists of 2,000 panes of coloured glass.

Constructed in 2001, the Colorium was designed by British architect William Alsop and is found in MedienHafen, the city's former industrial harbour and warehouse district.

The hotel occupies floors five to 14 and has 134 rooms, including nine suites.

There is also access to The View Skylounge, Restaurant and Bar on the 16th floor, which has 360-degree views across the port and city.

Melia Hotels International is due to open an Innside property in Manchester — its first in the UK — next year (see news, January 2012).
