British Airways is adding an additional flight to its London Heathrow to Mexico City service from October.

The route will operate four times weekly during the upcoming winter season, starting on October 27.

Flight BA243 will continue to depart LHR on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1240, arriving in Mexico City at 1820. The additional fourth service will depart LHR on Sundays at the same time, but arrive five minutes later at 1825.

The return BA242 service will leave Mexico City on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 2100 and arrive in London the following day at 1300.

As previously reported, Aeromexico is also changing its Heathrow to Mexico City flight schedule from October 27 (see online news, July 25).

That new itinerary will see flight AM 008 depart Heathrow at 2230 on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays and arrive in Mexico City at 0520 the next day, arriving in time for onward connections.

This service currently departs LHR at 1725 and lands in Mexico City at 0035.

The outward leg, flight AM 007, departs Mexico City at 2235 on Wednesdays and Sundays and arrives in London at 1515 the following day. On Saturdays, AM 007 departs at 2315 and lands at Heathrow at 1555.

Aeromexico launched its thrice-weekly Lonndon service last December (see online news, October 2012).
