Goodwood Park Hotel, located on Scotts Road near the intersection with Orchard, has revitalised the guestrooms and suites in its Mayfair Wing after four months of works.
Seventy-seven rooms and suites have been transformed by renowned interior designer Ernesto Bedmar, who was also the designer behind the hotel’s past renovation and upgrade projects since the '90s.
After the refurbishment, each room showcases a floor-to-ceiling bed headboard with a black-and-white image of old shophouses in Singapore. Other new features include new carpets, a customised writing desk, four universal sockets and a multimedia connectivity panel.

Linda Wee, general manager said: “With this most recent refurbishment, we hope to offer guests an experience that ties in with the history of the hotel, as well as pamper and please with a host of thoughtful and luxurious modern touches incorporated within the space aimed at providing an enjoyable stay, whether it’s for business or leisure.”
The building in which Goodwood Park Hotel is located has a rich history. It was built in 1900 and began as the Teutonia Club – an elite enclave for the expatriate German community in Singapore. In March 1989, the historic tower of the hotel was gazetted a national monument by the Singapore Preservation of Monuments Board, which has since merged with the Singapore National Heritage Board. This grand dame celebrated her 110th Anniversary in September 2010.
