American Express has announced an enhanced Corporate Card programme for Platinum and Gold cardholders, including access to hundreds of airport lounges and thousands of Regus workstations worldwide.

Airport lounge access is provided by a complimentary membership to Lounge Club, which allows access to over 350 lounges worldwide with a payable fee of £15 per person, per visit, charged to your card.

The card also provides access to Regus' offices in 1,200 locations across 95 countries. Gold cardholders receive two complimentary day-passes to any UK Regus business lounge, a 10 per cent booking discount on meeting rooms, one free month on a six-11 month Office and Virtual Office contract and two complimentary months on a 12-month contract.

The American Express concierge is a 24/7 service providing business support, such as organising courier services, translators or printers; car rental, car transfer and airport meet and greet arrangements, and entertainment support such as local information and hard-to-get ticket and restaurant reservations.

Platinum membership is charged at an annual fee of £375, with extended insurance that covers personal belongings, medical care and Business Travel Accident Insurance for up to £450,000 while travelling on public transport booked using the card.

Airport lounge access is provided by a complimentary membership with Priority Pass. The card also allows for complimentary access to American Airlines Admirals Club and Delta Sky Club lounges when flying with these airlines, regardless of travel class, and US Airways Club lounges and Airspace Lounges, regardless of the airline you're flying with.

Platinum cardholders can also access Regus' network of offices with all the benefits of the Gold card above, plus a 15 per cent discount on bookings for meeting rooms, one complimentary pass for an all-day meeting room in the UK and five complimentary day-passes to any Regus business lounge in the UK.

Platinum cardholders also have automatic access to fast track lanes at Heathrow airport; 24/7 concierge; zero percent commission at American Express bureaux de change in participating airports; a 25 per cent discount on Purple Parking Meet and Greet service at London Heathrow; and a 12.5 per cent discount at Birmingham, Bristol, Doncaster, East Midlands, Exeter, Glasgow, Gatwick, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Southampton and Stansted airports.

Karen Penney, vice president and general manager UK for American Express Global Corporate Payments Europe said: “Business travel continues to rank as a top business investment for companies and business executives are travelling further afield to leverage business opportunities around the world.

“However, companies are also under more pressure than ever to juggle the need to travel with the need to control their indirect expenses and those of their travellers. With this in mind we have developed a range of complimentary benefits for American Express Gold and Platinum Cardmembers.”
