Ryanair is to launch a daily service between London Stansted and Nuremberg at the end of March next year.

The low-cost carrier is adding six new routes from the German city, to Alicante, Cagliari, Malaga, Pisa, Porto and Stansted.

Air Berlin is currently the only carrier to offer non-stop flights between London and Nuremberg (with BA codesharing on the route), operating from Gatwick airport.

Ryanair’s new route means Nuremberg will be served from three London airports next year, with Air France subsidiary Cityjet set to launch twice-daily weekday flights from London City in January (see online news October 16).
