Flybe is to stop flying between its Exeter base and Leeds Bradford airport from the end of September.
The carrier currently operates four times-weekly flights using Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft, but its online reservations system shows no availability after September 30.
It is understood the route had been underperforming since the expansion of Flybe services between Exeter and Manchester (see online news March 8), and the cancellation of onward services from Leeds to Aberdeen.
Flybe has also previously operated flights between Gatwick and Leeds, but these were dropped last year (see online news March 23, 2011).
British Airways is set to launch flights between London Heathrow and Leeds Bradford from December 6, as part of its integration of Bmi’s slots into its Heathrow operations (see online news June 27).
