Dusit to refurbish Dubai property

22 Jun 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Dusit Thani Dubai is currently undergoing the refurbishment of its 174 guest rooms, with completion scheduled for this September.

The hotel – which was Dusit International’s first property outside of Thailand when it opened in 2001 – remains open during the project, with rooms being refurbished floor by floor.

According to Dusit the revamped rooms will feature “a modern, light and crisp appearance”, with the design incorporating “the hotel’s rich Thai cultural heritage through intricate art and design features”. Below is a CGI image of a refurbished King room.

Dusit says that “modern technology will be integrated into all guest rooms”, with free wifi having been introduced at the property earlier this year.

A second phase of refurbishment will commence next summer, focusing on the hotel’s 147 one and two-bedroom residences.

Dusit International currently operates 14 hotels in Thailand under its Dusit Thani, Dusit Princess and D2 brands, as well as properties in Manila, Dubai, Cairo and Baa Atoll (the Maldives).

The group is also set to open hotels in Abu Dhabi, Hainan, New Delhi and Passadena before the end of the year.
