Atlasjet is to launch flights between London Stansted and Istanbul Ataturk from May 5.
The Turkish carrier will serve the route Sunday-Friday using two-class A320 aircraft. Ekonomi Plus (economy class) offers 30 inches of legroom, free food and drink, and 20kg of checked luggage, while business class has “even roomier” seats and a 30kg luggage allowance.
Atlasjet joins Pegasus Airlines in flying to Istanbul from London Stansted, although the latter operates out of Sabiha Gokcen International airport on the Asian side of the city (Ataturk being situated to the west of the city centre on the European side).
Easyjet also flies into Sabiha Gokcen from Luton, while BA serves Ataturk from Heathrow, and Turkish Airlines also flies into Ataturk, from both Heathrow and Gatwick.
