Five things we hate about airports

28 Mar 2012

Travelling is gruelling, and airports don’t make the process any easier to a point where it seems like they’re actually conspiring against you. The Business Traveller team has collated a few of the things we hate most about these infuriating but sadly, unavoidable facilities.

1. The airport is located an hour out of town, there are few public transport options, and only mafia-run taxis

2. You are hungry but decide to go through security first, only to find nothing but a vending machine airside

3. Your airline doesn’t have its own lounge at this particular airport, and the one it shares looks like a hospital waiting room

4. People push to form a queue at the gate as soon as airport staff arrive – even though there is allocated seating

5. Your promised pick-up car is nowhere to be seen and the contact number is unobtainable

For a longer, more comprehensive list, watch out for the 101 Things We Hate About Airports feature in the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific April 2012 issue.
