Iceland Express to restart Stansted route

2 Mar 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Iceland Express is to reinstate flights between London Stansted and Reykjavik.

The carrier will fly twice-weekly (Tuesday and Friday) from Stansted starting on June 22, adding to the continuing Gatwick service, and summer flights from Edinburgh.

Interestingly Iceland Express will go head to head with start up carrier Wow Air, which is scheduled to launch services between Stansted and Reykjavik on June 1 (see online news November 28, 2011).

Rival carrier Icelandair offers flights from London Heathrow, while Easyjet is set to launch flights from Luton this month (see online news November 9, 2011).
