Easyhotel Amsterdam set for October opening

17 Aug 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Budget group Easyhotel will open an 80-room property in the De Pijp district of Amsterdam this October.

The group’s facebook page says that the hotel will open on October 15, although reservations are not yet available online. A post added on August 10 by Easyhotel says that reservations will be possible “in a couple of week’s time”.

Easyhotel Amsterdam Ferdinand Bolstraat features a mixture of Small (8.5-9.5sqm), Standard (11-12sqm) and Twin rooms (also 11-12sqm), as well as a 21sqm Special needs room. As with all Easyhotel properties, certain facilities are charged as optional extras, including wifi (€7.50 for 24 hours), and TV access (€5 for 24 hours).

The hotel is located to the south of Amsterdam’s city centre, around ten minutes’ walk from the Rai Convention Centre, which also has direct train access to the city’s airport. According to Easyhotel’s website rooms will be available from €49, although the group often releases special introductory rates ahead of the opening of its hotels.

Easyhotel is also due to open an 82-room property on Old Street in London’s Barbican district later this year – the last post on the group’s facebook page regarding the opening of this property was on June 17, when Easyhotel said that the property would open in October “subject to planning”.
