Gatwick Express offers free airport lounge entry

3 Jun 2011 by BusinessTraveller

Customers buying a first class return ticket on the Gatwick Express will gain free entry to No.1 Traveller’s North or South Terminal lounges at the airport, thanks to a new partnership.

Entry to the lounges normally costs £25 for a three-hour visit, so this represents a considerable saving for first-class customers. The offer is valid for return first class tickets purchased at gatwickexpress.com or smartrailwaytravel.com.

The terms and conditions state that “The initial booking period for this offer is until the August 31” - it’s not clear at this stage whether it will be extended beyond this date.

No.1 Traveller recently opened its second lounge at Gatwick airport, located within the North Terminal. The lounge operator has also partnered with Delta to allow its premium passengers free entry to the facility (see online news May 23).

Business Traveller will be reviewing the new lounge as part of our forthcoming guide to Gatwick airport, to be published in the July / August print edition.
