Sheffield station unveils first class lounge

East Midlands Trains has opened a first class lounge for its passengers at Sheffield station, as part of a £10 million enhancement programme.

The new lounge is located on platform five and is the first dedicated facility for premium passengers at the station, with features including complimentary refreshments, newspapers and wifi internet access.

The lounge is part of a £10 million programme to upgrade facilities at Sheffield station, with other improvements including the refurbishment of standard class waiting rooms and toilets, and improved CCTV throughout the station.

The new facility at Sheffield completes East Midlands’ programme to provide first class lounges at all of its major city stations.
