Jumeirah to open Venu hotel in Baku

26 Nov 2010 by BusinessTraveller

The luxury hotel group has announced Baku will be the second location for its Venu lifestyle brand, joining its forthcoming Shanghai property.

Venu Bilgah Hotel is set to open next year, and will feature 176 sea-facing rooms and suites, 14 villas, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, two rooftop restaurants and bars, a 300sqm spa with traditional Turkish and Finnish baths, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a 1500sqm conference centre.

The hotel has been designed by local architect Nazim Valiev, and features “a wave-like structure reflecting the style of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai”.

It’s the first property by the Jumeirah group in Azerbaijan, and follows the launch of the Venu lifestyle brand earlier this year (see online news April 29), and the announcement of a 400-room hotel in Shanghai (see online news June 25).
