Dragonair will resume daily services from Hongkong to Hongqiao International Airport Shanghai from September 15, 2010.

It ceased serving the airport in 2002, transferring to Pudong International Airport and now serves both air hubs.

The new services utilise an Airbus A330. The schedule is as follows

• Monday and Sunday, departure from Hongkong is 0815, arrival in Shanghai 1030

• Thursday, departure from Hongkong is 0915, arrival in Shanghai is 1135

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, departure from Hongkong is 0955, arrival in Shanghai is 1220

• All return flights are at 1320, arrival in Hongkong is 1610

Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai’s first airport, re-launched in March this year after a US$2.24 billion expansion due to overcapacity. It is expected to be able to handle 40 million passengers annually and can accommodate the super-jumbo A380.
