Star Alliance members, using Indira Gandhi International Airport, have set up joint facilities at the newly opened Terminal 3 (T3).
Check-in counters for all member carriers are located in rows E, F, G, H, J and K. In addition, Austrian, Continental Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss share a a ticketing desk.
With future alliance member Air India also located in the same building, seamless service will be easy to achieve once it joins the group.
Once Air India's executive lounge is completed by mid September, Star Alliance members will be able to avail of its services. Currently, customers are using the Premium Plaza or ITC Group Lounge. They also enjoy the Common Baggage Service Facility which handles their luggage concerns in an expedient manner.
Similar Star Alliance arrangements are found in airports in Beijing Capital, Narita, London Heathrow and Charles de Gaulle.
