Shandong Airlines is to launch a new weekly route between Jinan and Taichung from July 23 in the latest cross-Strait service to open between Mainland China and Taiwan.
This will be the airline’s fourth route from Shandong to Taiwan. Shandong Airlines operates seven return flights each week from Jinan, Qingdao and Yantai to Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei.
Flights will be on Fridays, departing Jinan at 8am and arriving in Taichung at 10:40am. Return flights will leave at Taichung at 11:40am and arrive in Jinan at 2:25pm. This service will use Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
Jinan, the capital of Shandong province with a population of six million, is a major IT and bio-engineering centre with three special economic zones, Jinan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Jinan Export Processing Zone and Liaocheng Economic Development Zone. Taichung is Taiwan’s third largest city and economic centre.
Shandong Airlines connects the province with more than a dozen large number of Mainland Chinese cities.
