JAL Hotels Co, which operates the Nikko Hotels chain, will open two properties in Suzhou, China. The first is scheduled for October 2010, and the second for 2013.
Currently, there are nine Nikkos in the country. After Suzhou, JAL hopes to grow the brand in Shanghai, Wuxi, Guangzhou and Xiamen, all before 2012.
The Nikko Hotel, earmarked for October, will have 200 rooms and be located in the Suzhou Science & Technology town area of the Suzhou New District. The second property with a later opening date will feature 475 rooms and be located in the city centre, part of a new mixed-use complex.
