Beijing Capital Airlines takes to the skies

3 May 2010

Beijing Capital Airlines, formerly Deer Air, launched its first flight under its new name yesterday, May 3, 2010. Onboard were a group of VIPs bound for the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

Infused with new capital arising from a joint venture between the Hainan Airlines Group and Beijing municipal government, the business jet specialist will have its main base at Beijing Capital Airport and maintain smaller operations in Guangzhou, Xian and Sanya. It will continue to use Deer Air's code, JD. Besides targeting corporate charters, it is also open to leisure charters as well as medical rescue flights.

Currently, it has a fleet of 25 business jets.

Bookings are now accepted at www.deerair.net/index.jsp
