Singapore Airlines and Delta end frequent flyer tie up

6 Feb 2010

Members of Singapore Airlines’ Krisflyer programme and Delta SkyMiles have only up to May 15, 2010 to earn and redeem miles through reciprocal flying. The carriers have announced the end of their frequent flyer partnership.

“Realignment of their respective frequent flyer programmes due to the changed business landscape” was the reason given to travellers for the move.

Award travel must be completed by May 14, 2011, members were also told.

SIA added that passengers with return tickets on Delta Airlines whose first leg of the journey is on May 14, 2010 and return leg is after May 14 will only earn miles on the first sector.
