Hotel activity in China is showing no let up with last week’s opening of Le Meridien Chongqing Nan’an, following on the debut of Le Meridien Tsingdao last month.
In January 2010, it will be the turn of Lanson Place Jin Qiao, the group’s second residence project in Shanghai after Lanson Place Jin Qiao Residences near the city’s most popular leisure precinct, Xintiandi.
Le Meridien Chongqing
Chongqing, an important inland port along the Yangtze River and hub for motor vehicle manufacturing, is the site of Le Meridien’s sixth property in Greater China. Owned by the Dalian Wanda Group, it features 319 guestrooms and suites and forms part of the Wanda Plaza. Both are minutes from the new Chongqing Convention & Exhibition Centre and a short drive to the Liberation Square central business district.
Room amenities include floor-to-ceiling windows, 37-inch LCD TVs and high-speed internet access. Suite extras include Cinq Mondes Soins Du Spa toiletries, a DVD player, two 42-inch LCD TVs and a 20-inch LCD TV in the bathroom.
The ballroom at 1,093sqm is large enough to host a variety of events with the help of another nine meeting rooms. Latest Receipe, the chain’s signature all-day dining venue as well as restaurants serving Sichuan and Cantonese and Japanese and a lounge round up the onsite F&B offerings.
Lanson Place
Lanson Place Jin Qiao, owned and developed by Chengtou Holding City Land and Shanghai Huang Shan He Cheng Real Estate, is located in Pudong New District, an easy access to the Expo 2010 Shanghai China Park, Pudong International Airport, Lujiazui CBD, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park and the site of the planned Disney Amusement Park. The complex provides 206 fully-furnished one- and two-bedroom serviced apartments (pictured). Additional facilities include gym and business centre with meeting rooms.
