Harbour Plaza Hong Kong to re-emerge as Harbour Grand Kowloon

11 Dec 2009

Harbour Plaza Hong Kong, a 14-year-landmark along the waterfront of Kowloon, emerges as the Harbour Grand Kowloon on January 28, 2010.

It is the second property to join the new luxury tier created by Harbour Plaza Hotels and Resorts, and realised in the Harbour Hong Kong on Hongkong Island, which opened in June this year.

“Harbour Plaza Hongkong has been the chain’s flagship all along,” the hotel's marketing communications manager, Mandy Soh told Business Traveller. “So it is a natural progression for it to become a ‘Grand’. While the rest of the Harbour Plaza hotels are recognised as four star.

“Physically, we are not changing much because the product is already so good, but we are adding flat-screen TVs in the guestrooms and changing all the collaterals and items with the old logo on them.”

The hotel with a rooftop swimming pool has 554 guestrooms and serviced suites.

To mark the change, it has a series of accommodation and dining promotions called “Rebrand Offers”, which can be viewed at www.harbour-plaza.com/hphk/promotions
