Qantas introduced the new A330-200 aircraft on its domestic network today, offering passengers new seating and personal inflight entertainment in all cabins.
The aircraft is a two-class configuration with 36 seats in Business and 265 in Economy. Those at the front end of the aircraft will enjoy a seat width of 22 inches, a cocktail table, ergonomic cushions and extendable legrest with fold-out footrest. Those in Economy will get seats with an 18.1-inch seat width, ergonomic seat cushioning and a seat base that moves in conjunction with the seat recline.
All passengers will experience the on-demand Panasonic eX2 system, consisting of 500 entertainment options including movies, TV programs, a CD library, games, a dedicated children’s section, plus the Qantas Lonely Planet Guides. Each seat offers touch screen functionality that enhances interactive capabilities.
The second A330-200 is scheduled to arrive in February next year.
