Royal Plaza on Scotts in Singapore has hit upon a practical solution for guests wanting to host small meetings, and yet not incur extra costs.
Its recent suite refurbishment has produced not only a refreshed Presidential Suite, four Royal Residences and 17 Executive Suites, but also seven Corporate Suites with their own boardrooms.
“We’d been noticing that more people were asking for space to accommodate about 10 participants, but they were finding our function rooms too big” explained hotel general manager Patrick Fiat. “And since we had suites with dining areas that were hardly used, we thought this was a great way to redefine combining work and lifestyle.”
The newly tweaked Corporate product, measuring 96sqm, answers that need with features such as a table seating 10 persons comfortably, a conveniently located data-port box, a built-in screen for presentations and a coffee break corner equipped with a Nespresso Le Cube machine.
To introduce the product to the market, the hotel is offering the following packages until December 31, 2009:
• STAY PACKAGE for S$800 (US$570) accommodation only. The rate increases to S$900 (US$641) from January 2010.
• MEET PACKAGE for S$950 (US$677) daily rate for an eight-hour meeting for a maximum of 10 people, inclusive of two coffee breaks and lunch. The rate increases to S$1,050 (US$748) from January 2010.
• STAY & MEET PACKAGE for S$1,300 (US$927) nightly, inclusive of stay and meeting for a maximum of 10 people with two coffee breaks and optional lunch at Carousel all-day dining for S$35 (US$25) per person. The rate increases to S$1,400 (US$998) from January 2010.
