Apex Hotels will open its second London property next month when it unveils the 89-room Apex London Wall.
The “luxury four-star boutique hotel”, close to the Bank of London and just off Liverpool Street, will further strengthen Apex’s presence in London’s financial district.
The new-build hotel will feature 89 guest rooms and suites plus a cocktail bar, gym and “quintessentially British” restaurant. Rooms start at £185 mid-week including free wifi internet, calls to local numbers, 24-hour room service and Sky Sports and movie channels.
The hotel is within walking distance of the underground and rail connections at Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations, and Bank tube station is also nearby.
Apex’s first London property, Apex City of London near Tower Hill, opened four years ago, and Yousif Al-Wagga, Apex’s regional director for London, said it was not unusual for the property to be entirely occupied by business travellers Monday to Friday.
Al-Wagga will also oversee the opening of the Apex Temple Court Hotel scheduled for 2011, Apex’s third London-based property located just off Fleet Street.
In April Apex opened the Apex Waterloo Place Hotel in Edinburgh, adding to its existing four-star portfolio of properties in London, Edinburgh and Dundee (see online news April 18).
