The eight-year-old airline will become a sub-brand of Nok Airlines, the budget airline partly owned by Thai Airways International (THAI) after both airlines experimented with joint marketing programmes over the past few years.
Nok Mini will base its fleet of Saab 340B turboprops at Chiang Mai International Airport, along with two Cessna 208B Grand Caravan planes, while a third Cessna is retained for charter at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The airline will launch Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son, four times daily, and daily Chiang Mai-Udon Thani fights on December 5.
Nok Mini will launch a Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai-Jinhong route early next year. Jinhong is in nearby Yunnan Province in western China.
