6 Aug 2009

Pullman Hotels and Resorts continues its rapid expansion in Asia with five new properties added to its development pipeline. This brings the total number to 17 hotels at press time.

“We are well on track towards having 100 Pullman hotels throughout Asia-Pacific by 2015,” said Gaurav Bhushan, senior vice-president for development at Accor Asia-Pacific, who admitted developments had "surpassed our expectations”.

The upmarket hotel brand of Accor now has 10 hotels across Asia with the Pullman Bangkok King Power, the first to open in October 2007. Known for its clean contemporary lines, functional space and advanced IT services, Pullman hotels are designed with business travellers in mind

The latest additions are located in China, Thailand and Vietnam:

  • Pullman Shanghai Pudong Zhangjiang, a 300-room hotel located in the high-tech development and trade zone in Pudong, Shanghai. With three restaurants and a bar, the hotel will also feature a swimming pool, health centre, business centre and extensive conference facilities, including a 650sqm pillarless ballroom and six additional venues. It is set to open in 2010.

  • Pullman Shanghai South, a 305-room property that will form part of the Shanghai Zhongxing City project and includes commercial and retail sections. Located opposite the Shanghai South Train Station, the hotel will have three restaurants, two bars, indoor swimming pool, heath centre and spa, business centre and 1,000sqm ballroom and six meeting rooms. It will open in June 2013.

  • Pullman Pattaya Aisawan is currently known as Aisawan Hotel Pattaya. The 353-room hotel on Wongamart Beach will be re-branded at the end of this year after the completion of an ongoing extensive renovation. Pullman’s distinctive elements such as its Co Meetings facilities and services and signature F&B outlets will enhance the infrastructure.
