Flight simulator launches at Bluewater

2 Aug 2009 by Mark Caswell

Business travellers suffering from fear of flying, or those simply wanting to try their hand at flying an aircraft, can experience the new iPilot flight simulator at the Bluewater shopping complex in Kent.

Billed as “Europe’s first shopping centre flight simulator”,  iPilot allows customers to experience taking off and landing a Boeing 737-800 aircraft at one of over 500 airports.

Participants can watch the pilot performing safety checks and operating procedures from the cockpit passenger seat, or take control of the plane as the pilot talks through their fears, from the reasons for turbulence to how pilots safely negotiate difficult conditions.

The iPilot experience costs from £69 for 20 minutes – for more information visit ipilot.me.
