Exclusive: six new hotels in Singapore

Park Regis Singapore

When’s it open? June 2010

Where is it? Located at 21-23 Merchant Road near the Singapore River, directly opposite party central Clarke Quay; within close proximity to Marina Bay and the main banking and corporate precinct of Raffles Place; Clarke Quay MRT station, Orchard Road and Chinatown all just a short walk away.

Fast facts: Park Regis Singapore boasts 200 guestrooms, a 25m outdoor pool, a fully equipped gymnasium, three function rooms, a spa, a business centre and onsite parking.


Marina Bay Sands Singapore

When’s it open? January-February 2010

Where is it? Marina Bay waterfront, located in the heart of the city’s central business district

Fast facts: The Marina Bay Sands integrated resort will offer three 55-storey hotel towers comprising of 2,500 rooms and suites, each featuring sea views and the upcoming Gardens by the Bay or the Marina Bay reservoir and the city skyline. The towers will be topped by the 12,400sqm SkyPark on level 57, which will feature swimming pools, restaurants and a public observation deck.

Travellers will be able to enjoy the many facilities provided in the resort including the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, a casino, theatres, the ArtScience museum, an outdoor event plaza, and shopping and dining.


Resorts World at Sentosa

Singapore’s other integrated resort, the Resorts World at Sentosa will comprise six hotels featuring 1,800 rooms, full conference and meeting amenities, a casino, a theme park, a spa and a 1,600-seat theatre among others. Four of the six hotels will open in the first quarter of 2010, while the other two, namely Equarius Hotel and Spa Villas, are to be launched later.


Hard Rock Hotel Singapore

When’s it open? First quarter of 2010

Fast facts: Featuring 360 rooms including 10 suites, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore will boast modern conference facilities including 26 meeting rooms and a column-free ballrooms seating up to 7,300 people, a pool and bars among other facilities.


Maxims Tower (below, hotel on the right)

When’s it open? First quarter of 2010

Fast facts: Maxims Tower will have 120 rooms including suites, mansions and villas providing an intimate and cosy feel and dressed in stately dark wood, luxurious fabrics and hues of red and gold. Guests are checked in mostly by invitation with the benefits of complimentary and private dining, gaming and VIP facilities in the hotel.

When’s it open? First quarter of 2010

Fast facts: Offering 470 rooms and suites designed entirely by Michael Graves and Associates, Hotel Michael pays tribute to design genius Michael Graves. This hotel is a ‘collection’ of Graves’ favourite things and everything from walls to murals to showers is marked with the Graves stamp. Guests will be able to enjoy fine dining and a chic sky bar in this tower.

Festive Hotel

When’s it open? First quarter of 2010

Fast facts: With families in mind, Festive Hotel’s 390 rooms and suites feature separate chambers for parents, loft beds for kids and sofa beds that add extra sleeping room. The hotel will feature a kids’ arcade, family restaurants and a 1,600-seat theatre where the resort’s resident show is staged.
