The Address to open Dubai Marina property

26 Jun 2009 by Mark Caswell

Dubai-based luxury hotel brand the Address Hotels and Resorts is to open a 200-room property at Dubai Marina.

The Address, Dubai Marina is scheduled to open on October 3 and will be the third Address hotel in the emirate, after the Address, Downtown Burj Dubai, which was launched in October last year (subscribe to Business Traveller for a review in the forthcoming July / August issue), and the Address, Dubai Mall, set to open on August 15 (see online news April 7).

The hotel is directly linked to Dubai Marina Mall and is set on its own beach. It will feature nautical-themed design touches and what the brand says is the tallest mural in the Middle East, at 28 metres high. All rooms will have their own balcony overlooking either the marina or the Arabian sea.

Like the other Address properties, the hotel will also have a spa, free wifi, iPod docks in all rooms and, in the Club rooms, a 24-hour stay facility whereby the length of stay, and hence the bill, is calculated in 24-hour blocks from the time of check-in.

The Address brand is owned by Emaar Hospitality Group, which plans to open further properties in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Europe and the US over the next decade.
