China Southern Airlines will begin twice-weekly charter flights between Guangzhou in China and Cebu in central Philippines from July 9.
Departure from Guangzhou is Monday and Thursday, with the return on Tuesday and Friday.
The Philippines has figured among the top 10 outbound tourism destinations among users of Baidu (www.baidu.com), a leading Chinese internet portal, and the new services are predicted to attract more than 300 travellers a week from China’s Guangdong Province to the archipelago’s “Queen City of the South”.
Chinese travellers can expect a variety of itineraries to choose from. Travel operators like GZL International Travel Services have arranged multi-island excursions such as between Cebu and Bohol, another emerging tourist destination in the area for those who want to adventure beyond Cebu.
