Qantas has launched special rates for passengers flying between Hongkong and London in business, premium economy and economy class.
Roundtrip business class seats start from HK$20,990 (US$2,708), roundtrip premium economy from HK$7,000 (US$903) and roundtrip economy class from HK$4,520 (US$583), for booking until June 30. Prices exclude applicable taxes, duties, airport security charges and fuel surcharges, and Qantas Frequent Flyers will get mileage points.
Passengers can fly out of Hongkong from now until September 10, and return anytime up till a year from the date of departure. These offers are for Qantas flights QF29 and QF30 only.
Qantas operates the Hongkong-London route as part of its Melbourne-London service via Hongkong. The route is serviced daily by Boeing B747-400 aircraft.
The route is dominated by Cathay Pacific and British Airways, which operate mulitiple daily flights. Virgin Atlantic also flies the route. Air New Zealand last week announced that it was cutting back on its Hongkong-London-Hongkong services as a result of weak demand.
