Business travellers to Hongkong, who find their busy schedules leave them no time even for lunch, can now take up celebrity chef Joel Robuchon’s new proposition: lunch before or after lunchtime.
L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon Hongkong is introducing the “L’Unique French bistro dining concept”, which is available during off-peak dining hours and targeted at workaholics and the time starved executives.
The two Michelin-starred L’Atelier at The Landmark in Central will allow this special seating starting June 1, from 11.30am to 12.15pm and 2 to 2.30pm for lunch and from 6.15 to 7pm and 9.30 to 10.30pm for dinner.
Diners have a choice of 10 different L’Unique selection sets, two of which will be served during each meal time. Menus will also be changed every day so as to provide more choice and variety, and customers will be placed at the bar area where they can enjoy a vantage view of the action in the kitchen. To save time, the appetiser, main course and dessert will be served simultaneously.
“This gives busy executives, who start their day early, the choice to recharge with an early lunch, have a quick early-evening meeting over dinner or catch a bite after they end work late at night when quality food options are limited,” said Sebastien Lepinoy, L’Atelier’s executive chef.
Meals, which are priced at HK$268 (US$35) a set, were developed by Robuchon himself.
