VLM Encore to be merged into Air France's Flying Blue

23 May 2009 by Mark Caswell

VLM’s Encore frequent flyer scheme is to be merged into Air France’s Flying Blue club, as part of the Belgian carrier’s integration into the Air France KLM group.

VLM Encore will cease to exist from September, and members’ point will be converted into Flying Blue miles. However Encore members will need to register for a Flying Blue account before the merger, and make sure they post their account number within their VLM Encore profile. VLM says that failure to do so before August 31 could result in Encore points being lost.

Those who already have a Flying Blue account will also need to register their details – to do so, log in to your VLM Encore profile as normal, enter your ten-digit Flying Blue card number as instructed, and VLM will take care of the rest.

Those registering for a new Flying Blue account should enter “VGEN” in the promotional code field on the second page of registration at airfrance.co.uk, and once registered follow the instructions as above.

For more information visit flyvlm.com. To register for the Air France Flying Blue scheme, visit airfrance.co.uk.
