Cathay Pacific launches check-in service in downtown Shenzhen

22 May 2009

Cathay Pacific passengers can now check in in downtown Shenzhen for their flights departing from Hongkong International Airport (HKIA).

The new service, which aims to improve connectivity between HKIA and the Pearl River Delta region, allows travellers to get their boarding passes at the check-in counter in Shenzhen Kingkey Banner Centre in the emerging Nanshan District.

Shenzhen passengers must arrive at the counter at least two and half hours before their flight departure time.

They then take cross-boundary land transport to Chek Lap Kok. On arrival, those with baggage can proceed to the self check-in bag-drop counter, while those with only hand luggage go straight to immigration.
