Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) has opened its first Indigo property in Central America, the 100-room Hotel Indigo San Jose Forum.
The property is located in the city’s Santa Ana district (around 15 minutes from Juan Santamaria airport), within the Del Centro Empresarial Forum Dos office development. Rooms at the three-storey hotel feature 37-inch flatscreen TVs, iPod/MP3 alarm clock radio, free wifi internet access, and large wall murals depicting local imagery such as tropical flowers and waterfalls.
Other features include a 24-hour busines centre, an outdoor swimming pool, sauna, spa and fitness facilities, meeting space, and Golden Bean restaurant.
Other existing IHG properties in Costa Rica's capital include the Real InterContinental Hotel & Club Tower Costa Rica, Crowne Plaza Corobici San Jose, Holiday Inn San Jose – Aurola, and Holiday Inn Express San Jose Airport.
The boutique Indigo brand made its debut in the UK earlier this year (see online news January 20), with plans to add three further London properties by 2012.
