Airlines in the region continue the discounting game, and leading the pack this week are Singapore Airlines, Qantas, British Airways, All Nippon Airways and THAI Airways, whose offers link major Asia-Pacific cities to a number of international destinations, including London, New York, Abu Dhabi and Zurich.

? Singapore Airlines (SIA) has cut the prices of services out of Hongkong to as low as US$321. Flights from Hongkong to Southeast Asian cities like Kuala Lumpur, Phnom Penh and Jakarta now start from HK$2,491 (US$321.40) for a return flight.

The Indian cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai can be reached at rates from HK$4,013 (US$517.80), while Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kolkata, Dhaka, Ahmedabad and Colombo are priced from HK$4,708 (US$607.50).

SIA flights from Hongkong to Australian cities Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney start from HK$4,382 (US$565.40) and flights to cities in Europe cost from HK$5,537 (US$714.40). Fares from Sydney to Singapore now cost A$715 (US$514.20).

Flights to Southeast Asia are available for booking until April 30 for travel by June 30.

For services to Australia, West Asia and the Middle East, bookings must be made by April 30 and trips completed by July 9. Passengers flying to Europe should book by July 31, and make travel out of Hongkong by December 31. The Sydney-Singapore flights are for booking up to April 17.

? Qantas has followed suit with flights from Sydney to London and Singapore priced at A$1,495 (US$1,075.30) and A$721 (US$518.60) respectively. This offer, like the SIA Sydney-Singapore flight, is valid for booking until April 17.

? British Airways also reduced flight prices between Sydney and London to A$1,497 (US$1,076.70) and flights between Sydney and Singapore to A$721 (US$518.60). These deals last until the end of November.

? All Nippon Airways is offering passengers flying from Singapore to the US rates from S$895 (US$596.60). All flights transit at Tokyo’s Narita Airport for a few hours before proceeding to their final destinations.
