Hyatt debuts in Ekaterinburg

5 Apr 2009 by Mark Caswell

Hyatt has unveiled its second property in Russia, with the opening of the Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg.

The 296-room property is located in Russia’s fourth largest city, and joins the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow as the second Hyatt-branded hotel in the country.

The 20-storey hotel is situated in the financial centre of Ekaterinburg, on the bank of the Iset River, with room views over the river and the city’s "Cathedral on the Blood". There are 56 suites, and many of the rooms include an “open bathroom concept”, with under floor heating, deep-soaking baths and rain showers.

There is 2,500sqm of meeting space, the largest room being a 600-sqm pillar-free ballroom, and eating options include Cucina, serving mediterranean cuisine from an open kitchen, and Asian restaurant Noble House.

The hotel’s leisure facilities are located on the 20th floor, with a gym, sauna, hammam, whirlpool bath, swimming pool and spa services. Note that while the guestrooms are now open, the rest of the facilities will be opening gradually between now and the beginning of May.
