Singapore Changi Airport is rewarding shoppers, who spend S$80 (US$52) and above in a single receipt at any outlet in the Departure Transit Malls of Terminal 1, 2 or 3, a chance to win shopping vouchers in various denominations.
The promotion, which runs until April 19, invites eligible participants to join a “hammer game” and win vouchers worth S$20 (US$13), S$50 (US$32), S$100 (US$64) and S$150 (US$98). Even those who don’t score points will still walk away with a S$5 (US$3.27) voucher. Redemption can also be done at the outlets in the Departure Transit Malls of the three terminals.
About S$700,000 (US$458,427) worth of vouchers will be given away.
Non-passengers aren’t neglected. Not only do they get 7 percent off items bought at Terminal 3’s landside outlets, if they pay by Visa card for items amounting to S$30 (US$19) in a single receipt or by any other means for items amounting to S$60 (US$39), they will also receive a prize. Another promotion has them presenting a cut-out coupon to avail of a S$5 savings at any of 27 participating establishments. Shoppers will also enjoy free parking for the first hour if they spend S$30 at any outlet in Terminal 3. The deals are valid until April 30.
Changi Airport has built up its retail attractions over the years in a bid to create an attractive experience, not only for travellers but Singapore residents as well. Terminal 3, which opened in January 2008, featured increased shopping and dining activities, raising the airport’s profile as a transport-lifestyle hub.
