Mayfair members' club reopens

6 Feb 2009 by Sara Turner

The Fox Club private members' club in the heart of Mayfair has recently reopened with a £300,000 facelift and enhanced conference facilities.

Despite describing itself as a “sharper social choice for the discerning” with its refurbished bar and restaurant, the club also offers wifi-enabled meeting rooms, business services, bedrooms and corporate discounts.

The club’s doors are also open to non-members at higher rates; however a corporate package includes membership for up to five people.

Rates for the Elizabeth Armistead Room, with space for 40 delegates, start at £300 for half a day. The smaller Drawing Room, at half the capacity, starts at £250.

Extras such as fax, photocopying, refreshments and flipcharts are free for members. Projectors and screens are available for hire.

Weekday bedroom rates for one of its six Executive Doubles start at £282 per night with savings of up to £100 for corporate members. Three suites are available starting at £311.37 per night.

General manager Bethan Seaton said: “The social scene at The Fox Club is as eclectic and diverse as the members and guests who happen to be in the bar.

“However, one constant remains throughout – it’s a blessed sanctuary from the forced formality of the capital’s business scene.”
