14 Jan 2009 by Mark Caswell

The countdown to the Business Travel Show 2009 has begun. The event will take place at Earls Court 2 from February 10 to 12, and Business Traveller will be there to unveil the winners of our annual Cellars in the Sky wine awards.

Now in its 15th year, the Business Travel Show is dedicated to people who buy or manage company travel. The show aims to give visitors the opportunity to see what’s new in the business travel industry, keep up to date with the latest trends, meet online and traditional travel suppliers, get independent professional advice and discover money and time saving tips.

New at this year’s Business Travel Show is the Carbon Management Zone, where visitors can find unbiased advice about environmental issues, the Innovation Arena, dedicated to the 14 Innovation Award finalists and the European Travel Buyer Awards, recognising and celebrating the achievements of Europe’s most accomplished travel buyers (winners to be announced on February 12).

The keynote speeches and debates are free to attend, giving everyone the chance to learn from the show’s experts. Companies participating in the conference programme include: Accenture AG, Amadeus, AMO, Aviva, BBC, BT, Capita Business Travel, Clickair, Concur, Continental Airlines, The Carbon Neutral Company, Dell, Egencia, HRG, HRS, ITM, JPM Consultants, KDS, MPI UK, Nike, Phillips, Sabre, Unisys, Wellcome Trust and Yahoo.

Business Traveller magazine will also be presenting the Cellars in the Sky wine awards at the Business Travel Show, at 1pm on Tuesday February 10, on the Centre Stage. After the presentation, drop by stand 811 to meet the Business Traveller team and try the winning wines at a special tasting session from 2pm.

Visitors can attend additional wine tastings on the Business Traveller stand at 11am-12noon and 2-3pm on Wednesday Feb 11, and 11am-12 noon on Thursday Feb 12.
