The big picture: Concorde immortalised on Royal Mail stamp

13 Jan 2009 by Mark Caswell

Iconic transport images including the Routemaster bus and Concorde have been commemorated on the latest issue of Royal Mail stamps.

Part of the British Design Classics collection, the images have been celebrated on first-class stamps available from today (January 13th). The collection also features images of the London Underground Map, the classic Mini car, the Supermarine Spitfire used in The Battle of Britain, and the K2 Telephone Kiosk (aka the iconic red phonebox).

First Day Covers are available today, with various collectors sets on sale at royalmail.com, and single stamps available at the Post Office.
